Job Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining a high-energy, positive environment, where behaviors that support client-centric service are consistently demonstrated. The Wellness Assistant Spa Manager helps drive store performance, fosters superior client service, and maintains operational excellence to meet or exceed established productivity goals. This individual will manage and supervise Wellness Consultants to achieve company goals and will lead by example in all company operations. The Wellness Assistant Spa Manager fosters a sense of urgency to achieve objectives and holds the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Monitor and manage daily operations of the spa in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead by example in all company operations including creating a client-centric experience
  • Ability to be a leader with sales performance and to consistently meet sales goals.
  • Assist the Wellness Spa Director with maintaining cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and organization of the spa.
  • Establishes clear goals and objectives for Team Members.
  • Provides coaching, training, and feedback to improve Team Members' daily performance.
  • Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Wellness Spa Director functions.
  • Assist the Wellness Spa Director in controlling top line revenue and expenses.
  • Help to maintain proper staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and excellent customer service while also controlling labor costs.
  • Ability to work nights as well as Saturdays and Sundays as required to provide management coverage.
  • Consistently sets a positive example and demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.
  • Ability to work a 5-day workweek with approximately 35 to 40 hours per week.

Experience:
  • College education is preferred but not required.
  • Management and/or Sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Beauty, Spa, Tanning Industry and/or Customer Service experience preferred
  • Basic Computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple situations simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
  • Problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
  • Strong leaderships skills, with the ability to coach and mentor while having knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
  • Team building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend at the waist to clean spa, sunless, and UV equipment.
  • Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
  • Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from the floors.
  • Ability to perform spa, sunless, and UV cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
