Job description

Astraea, A Wellness Spa is looking for dynamic, driven, wellness enthusiasts for our Spa Attendant positions. Astraea spa is located in the Longfellow hotel, a 48-room luxury boutique hotel. Our Spa team will maintain the standards and cleanliness of Spa, massage rooms, and saunas, while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to our guests. Additionally, this position will help foster the culture of The Longfellow Hotel throughout the Portland business community and will require a sense of playfulness to help rethink luxury accommodations. 

This is a great opportunity to join a small and growing company. This role reports directly to the Spa Manager. Full-time and part-time positions available. Located in Portland, Maine.Applicants must be available/willing to work evening/closing shifts, and weekends.

  • Have experience in a spa setting with a passion for wellness (preferred but not required)

  • Able to calmly multi-task and anticipate the guests' needs is a must. 

    Responsibilities include: 
      • Greeting guests, answering questions, and providing personal service
      • Keeping the spa clean and organized, including treatment rooms, tables, and public areas
      • Amenities: Providing guests with towels, robes, slippers, and washcloths, and ensuring they are available and in their proper place
      • Explaining spa services and treatments, and recommending services to guests
      • Answering phones, making or changing reservations, and confirming reservations with guest
      • Completing opening and closing procedures, restocking supplies, picking up forgotten items, cleaning up spills, and removing clutter
      • Turning over sauna suites/prepping room for guests-
        • Including sweeping/mopping, cleaning bathrooms, re-stocking, minimal dish washing, dusting, organizing, and maintaining an overall cleanliness of the space
      • Maintains accurate schedule of reservations and communicates with wellness coordinator and team about any scheduling conflicts.
      • Execute and complete weekly deep cleaning tasks with team

Pay Rate: $18/hourly + 10% commissions on sauna services
