Position Description

Ojo Caliente is seeking a full-time/part-time AM Spa Cleaner to join our Housekeeping Team. If you are responsible, self-directed, and have a great attendance record this is the job for you. The AM Spa Cleaner will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning the bathhouses, locker rooms, bathrooms, restaurant lobby, and other public areas. This cleaning will be done during pre-opening hours, preparing these areas before guests arrive for the day. The successful candidate will know the correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces and how to use these chemicals according to OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all public areas are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for the next day's guests, according to established guidelines.
• Clean and thoroughly stock assigned area(s) promptly and according to established procedures, guidelines, and checklists.
• Conduct a visual inspection of the public area before completion following established procedures and checklists.
• Promptly report any maintenance deficiencies observed.
• Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and resort requirements.
• Pick up and return keys and 2-way radios at beginning and end of shift; utilize 2-way radios for communication according to established procedures.
• Follow established lost and found procedures, properly logging and storing items and communicating with other departments about lost and found items as needed.
• Checklists will be provided for the tasks outlined and expectations for cleaning each area.

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Resort or hotel housekeeping experience a plus, but not required.
2. Ability to operate a 2-way radio for communication.
3. Ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals and cleaning products.
4. Must have reliable transportation.
5. Reliability and punctuality are critical.
6. Must be able to work flexible schedule to include, weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
7. Ability to walk or stand and move about the resort (both indoors and outdoors) for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, pull and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
8. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
