Position Overview

Summit Healthcare Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide comprehensive mental health counseling services from the comfort of your home while positively impacting the lives of our diverse clientele.

Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized counseling services to clients through telehealth sessions, utilizing a HIPAA-compliant platform.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, families, and groups.
  • Utilize cloud-based EHR to document clinical encounters, manage client information, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Manage treatment programs that focus on symptom control and coping strategies for patients dealing with challenges such as mental health disorders, trauma, and dual diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and provide holistic support for clients' comprehensive well-being.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality and client safety during all interactions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health issues. Our clinic serves clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health disorders, requiring a compassionate approach tailored to each individual's circumstances.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
  • Minimum of three years of mental health counseling experience, demonstrating effective therapeutic techniques and strategies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and the ability to engage clients in a meaningful way.
  • Must possess a reliable computer with high-speed internet access and a web camera to facilitate remote sessions.
  • Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a community health setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and electronic health record systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in providing culturally competent counseling services to diverse populations.
