The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to empowering clients and fostering a supportive therapeutic environment.

About the Organization

We cater to individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. Our organizational culture emphasizes support, growth, and teamwork, making it a fantastic place for professional development and innovation in mental health care.

Work Environment

This role is 100% remote, providing flexibility that promotes a healthy work-life balance. You will primarily serve patients through our HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, which enables secure, private counseling sessions from any location with internet access. Summit Healthcare Group offers a cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to streamline workflow and ensure compliance with all insurance requirements, allowing you to focus solely on delivering exemplary care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor with Summit Healthcare Group, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive counseling services to patients via telehealth, addressing a variety of mental health issues and disorders.
  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques that facilitate problem identification, solution generation, and client safety.
  • Design and implement tailored treatment programs targeting mental health symptoms, trauma recovery, and dual diagnosis challenges.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals to develop a holistic approach to client care, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
  • Manage and maintain accurate patient records within our EHR system, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Adapt your schedule to meet client needs, including some availability for evenings and weekends as required.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client base will include individuals across various demographics seeking support for mental health challenges. The nature of our practice allows you to work with diverse groups, ensuring personalized care that respects their unique experiences and circumstances. You will play a crucial role in enabling clients to achieve better mental health outcomes through therapeutic interventions, fostering stability and resilience.

Qualifications

The requirements for this role include:

  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a solid foundation of clinical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote work environment.
  • Proficient in using technology; must have a reliable laptop or desktop equipped with a webcam and dependable internet connectivity.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, or specific therapeutic modalities (such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) will be highly considered. Familiarity with insurance processes, including Medicaid and Medicare protocols, will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

At Summit Healthcare Group, we value our counselors and offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with education, experience, and specialization. Additionally, you can expect the following benefits:

  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage, including dental and vision plans.
  • A 401(k) plan with company matching to support your financial future.
  • Flexible scheduling options that empower you to create a work-life balance that suits your needs.
  • Access to professional development assistance to encourage continuous growth in your clinical skills.
  • Paid time off for vacations and personal days to recharge and maintain optimal well-being.
  • Health savings accounts and life insurance, assuring you and your family are well-cared for.
