Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool - Nights

$20,000 Sign on bonus eligibility

7P-7A

Schedule: 12 hours shift for full-time requiring 36 hours/week with every other weekend

Joining our Float Pool team means you'll work alongside diverse care teams across several nursing units at Sovah Health, making a meaningful impact wherever you go.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role:

  • Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care.
  • Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
  • Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).

What we're looking for

Applicants must be a graduate of a professional school of nursing

Should have a current VA RN license or compact state

Bachelors preferred but not required

Previous experience highly preferred

Additional requirements include:

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support

  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three (3) months of hire

  • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) Emergency Nurse Association required or within six (6) months of hire.
