We're looking for a Ready Mix Concrete Sales Representative who can develop new business, strengthen existing customer relationships, identify opportunities early, and work closely with operations, production, and quality teams to deliver for customers.

You'll have the opportunity to manage a market, develop account strategies, negotiate with customers, identify new opportunities, and help grow market share.

What You'll DoGrow the Business

• Work with the Sales Manager to develop market-specific strategies
• Execute account plans and customer call plans
• Develop new business and expand existing accounts
• Introduce customers to new and existing product lines
• Identify unmet and emerging customer needs
• Identify and track projects during the early stages of development
• Forecast short- and long-term sales volumes
• Monitor market conditions and identify potential effects on the business

Manage Customer Relationships

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Negotiate effectively and close sales
• Develop deeper relationships with existing accounts
• Help resolve customer complaints in partnership with Sales, Production, and Quality teams
• Work to minimize past-due balances while maintaining strong customer relationships
• Provide customers with responsive, professional service

Drive Sales Performance

• Work toward sales volume, selling expense, and forecast objectives
• Develop pricing strategies and promotional programs with the Sales Manager
• Meet established performance objectives
• Help implement more effective sales processes and practices
• Participate in industry associations and take on leadership roles when appropriate

Work as a Team

• Communicate customer needs and market opportunities to the Sales Manager and internal teams
• Partner with Production and Quality Control to resolve customer issues
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety
• Communicate, improve, and follow company safety policies
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

What We're Looking ForRequired

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team
• Ability to analyze information and make sound business decisions
• Ability to provide direct, actionable feedback
• Proficiency with computers, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
• Willingness to reside within the assigned sales territory

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in construction, sales/marketing, or a related field
• 3+ years of ready mix concrete experience
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Ready mix concrete experience is strongly preferred, but we would also consider sales professionals with relevant construction or industry experience.
