Job description

The Graphic Installation Specialist responsibilities include wrapping vehicles, application of fleet graphics, wall murals, banners, rigid panel signs, and other signage, mounting and/or laminating prints and providing quality assurance to ensure the efficient production of quality, accurate graphics. The Specialist completes graphic installations on windows, walls and vehicles, both in-house and at customer locations, throughout the Southern California area and leads Ambassadors and Trainees in instruction of installations. What you'll do: Completes installs efficiently without sacrificing quality of work. Makes precise cuts with knife in vinyl without damaging surfaces. Trains others in full vehicle wraps. (Box trucks, trailers, windows and walls) Assists with setting production work schedule for processing requests. Able to plan and coordinate, on short notice, printing of rush jobs. Operates printing production equipment as needed. Properly sets up various types of print jobs. Creates digital print-ready files; determines media types, weights, finishes, and sizes for project application Coordinates with Print Shop Manager for preparing job cost estimates and job specifics. Develops Digital Printing Career Training Program for certification and fulfills role of instructor for installations. Supervises 1 - 2 helpers Ambassadors. Leads trainees in lab work connected to training class installation modules. Complies and ensures adherence to project requirements. Maintains a safe working environment through inspections and training. Driving records must be acceptable by company’s insurance vendor. What you bring: Team Lead experience. Some college in graphics design preferred. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience directly related installation experience as lead or main installer and prior vehicle wrapping of a minimum of 10 – 20 vehicles required. Experience installing vinyl on walls, windows, concrete, brick, and other surfaces both inside and outside of stores, offices, and other commercial buildings required. Installer certification from 3M, Orafol, or Avery Dennison CWI or other industry recognition preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate light-duty hand tools, drills, saws, tape measures and be comfortable working on a ladder at heights. Demonstrated ability to install wide-format vinyl prints on windows, walls, posts, ground surfaces, vehicles, and hang sign panels, as well as interior and exterior graphics and letters. Strong communication, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills. Intermediate to advanced skill in application of cut vinyl to various substrates. Abilities to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Valid CA driver's license and state-required auto insurance required. Mechanically inclined. Strong creative thinking skills. Spanish / English bilingual preferred. Must have advanced knowledge proficiency of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and E-mail. Knowledge and experience using various graphic design and layout software and tools including but not limited to Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, CorelDRAW, Onyx V10, Sign Lab V10, and Caldera V13. Working knowledge of EFI Fiery printing interface with familiarity to Canon printers and HP large format Background, drug screen and MVR screening required.
