Position Overview
We are seeking an Armored Car Driver & Messenger Trainee to join our secure transport team. This entry-level role is designed for candidates ready to develop the skills required for safe, compliant, and professional transport of high-value assets. As a trainee, you will learn to operate armored vehicles, handle secure cargo, and provide outstanding customer service while adhering to all safety and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train in the safe operation of armored company vehicles under the guidance of experienced drivers.
  • Assist with secure loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Document deliveries with accuracy and maintain all required paperwork.
  • Safely transport goods to client locations, managing items up to 70 pounds and assisting with heavy carts when necessary.
  • Provide professional on-site and remote communication with clients.
  • Learn and apply security protocols for handling valuable cargo and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Driver’s License: Valid New York State driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 70 pounds and to push/pull carts loaded with cargo weighing up to several hundred pounds.
  • Firearm Certification: Ability to attain a New York State firearms permit.
  • Medical Certification: Ability to complete U.S. Department of Transportation medical certification.
  • Experience: Prior experience as an armored car driver or messenger is preferred but not required.
  • Reliability: Strong attendance and punctuality record.
