Position Overview

The Universal Banker is the face of BayCoast Bank, responsible for delivering high-quality service and building long-lasting customer relationships. This role combines customer service and transactional banking functions, supporting both new and existing customers with their financial needs.
Working under the direction of the Branch Manager, you’ll provide personalized financial solutions, process transactions, open accounts, and identify opportunities to help customers achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Service:
- Deliver professional, friendly, and efficient service
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues
- Educate customers on banking products
Business Growth Initiatives & Relationship Building:
- Identify customer needs and recommend products
- Generate referrals across business lines
- Contribute to branch goals
Banking Operations:
- Open accounts and assist with loan applications
- Process teller transactions and balance accurately
- Perform account maintenance and issue debit cards
Team Collaboration:
- Participate in training and marketing initiatives
- Support branch operations and cross-training

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent requirement
- Minimum 4 months of customer service experience
- Prior cash handling experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain NMLS registration

- Bilingual: Spanish/Portuguese a plus but not required

Work Environment & Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends
- Reliable transportation required
