Job description

JOB TITLE: Supply Warehouse Clerk

REPORTS TO: Supply Warehouse Manager

LOCATION: Lake City, FL

COMPENSATION: Hourly, Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: Receive, store, and ship warehouse products and goods to customers of the Supply Division.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• A high school diploma or general education diploma (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must operate a forklift and any other departmental equipment efficiently and safely; ability to pass safety and license certification.

• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and a background check.

• Must have proof of legal authorization to work in the USA.

SKILLS, TRAITS, amp; COMPETENCIES:

• Ability to work independently with general guidance from supervisors.

• Must possess strong analytical, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills; must be a highly motivated self-starter with demonstrated attention to detail.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and technical procedure manuals; Must have the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive, store and ship merchandise kept in warehouse.

• Load and unload merchandise while it is being received or when it is shipped.

• Maintain cycle counts of all warehouse inventories and report discrepancies to the supervising manager.

• Keep records as merchandise enters and leaves the warehouse, including proper labeling of prescription pharmaceuticals.

• Organize, rotate, and stock merchandise in the warehouse.

• Conduct regular checks and maintenance functions of all warehouse machinery, such as forklifts, etc.

• Keep a clean and safe work area.

• Operate all equipment, including but not limited to a forklift, in a safe and professional manner.

• Process and follow up on rush items.

• Other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and demonstrate manual dexterity while performing job duties.

• The employee must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance and greater than 50 lbs. with assistance. In addition, employees must be able to push, pull and/or roll more than 100 lbs.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

• Specific vision requirements for this role include close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision.

• Must be able to bend, stoop and climb throughout shift.

• The employee will be occasionally exposed to twisting of the back and neck.

• Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time, paying attention to detail.

• Requires frequent ability to move freely about the office building and warehouse.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• The environment involved is regularly both inside and outside; may be exposed to cold, extreme heat, wet and/or humid environment.

• The employee is exposed to cluttered and slippery floor surfaces, and contact with sharp objects, skin irritants, hazardous cleaning solutions, hazardous equipment (mechanical moving parts), and nuisance dust, fumes, and sprays.

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

• This position is classified as a safety-sensitive position; Responsible for creating and maintaining a safety-conscious work environment according to policies and procedures.
