Job description

Our Endocrinology Center, a part of the Southcoast Physicians Group comprising over 800 providers and continuing to grow, exemplifies our commitment to excellence in patient care.

Position Overview

Southcoast Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Endocrinologist to join our esteemed team consisting of four Physicians supported by four Advanced Practice Practitioners and three Diabetes Educators participating in American Diabetes Association certified Diabetes Management Program in an ambulatory practice. The successful candidate will contribute to our tradition of practice excellence and play a pivotal role in advancing patient care in our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose endocrine disorders such as, but not limited to diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal insufficiency, pituitary disorders, and osteoporosis in the outpatient practice setting, while developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor chronic conditions through follow up visits, adjusting treatment plans and medications as needed and coordinating care/referrals for complex cases.
  • Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options and lifestyle modifications.
  • Work with primary care providers and other specialists, such as surgeons, nephrologists, dietitians for multidisciplinary care.
  • Opportunity to work in multidisciplinary Osteoporosis Center of Excellence.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • New graduates welcome to apply
  • Board certification/eligibility in Endocrinology
  • Must be able to obtain Massachusetts licensure before you begin practicing.
  • Current state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and effective communication skills.
