SGM is seeking a full-time Subsurface Utility Engineering Project Manager / Team Lead in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

This is a unique opportunity to lead SGM's SUE practice, grow and develop a team, and establish yourself as a market-leading expert in the SUE field. This position will be posted until filled but no sooner than three days from now. JOB DUTIES: Lead, develop, and grow the SUE team including oversight and responsibility for the team's professional development, workload management, and overall employee experience. Be an effective "on-the-ground" leader, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching, and oversight.

Act as subject-matter-expert for geophysical tools and methods for SUE work, ensuring projects meet Colorado SUE law. Offer significant technical and creative input during concept development and review phases of projects. Provide oversight and QAQC on SUE projects and deliverables.

Expand SGM's footprint in the market by leading the production of business development plans and proposals. Be a pro-active client service manager, ensuring clients receive timely, high-quality service. Team with Business Sector Leader to establish, communicate, and track financial goals.

May perform field locate tasks or coordinate with subconsultants dependent on applicants' skills & team structure Salary is DOE: Project Manager 5-15 years: $95,700-$114,300 Senior Project Manager 12-30 years: $108,200-$139,000 Professional Engineer 4-10 years: $89,600-$115,600 Professional Engineer 8-15 years: $105,400-$131,300 Professional Engineer 12-22 years: $120,500-$153,300MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Prior project management experience in the SUE industry Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate and communicate with all internal and external project stakeholders. Flexibility for some in-state travel as needed. Strong desire to live, work, and play in western Colorado.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience at a SUE firm in Colorado. Proficiency with Civil 3D. Proficiency with PointMan or similar Utility Locate Software Proficiency & Knowledge of Pipe & Cable Locators, GPR, or other Geophysical Tools PLS or Field Survey experience and Data Management (GIS/Trimble).

PE - Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Colorado Demonstrated involvement in professional organizations and community outreach.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Prior project management experience in the SUE industry Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate and communicate with all internal and external project stakeholders. Flexibility for some in-state travel as needed. Strong desire to live, work, and play in western Colorado
