Job description

ABOUT
NewForm is a performance marketing agency overseeing ~$100M/yr in ad spend for tech and mobile brands. We help category disruptors - Betr, ElevenLabs, Binance, and others - scale paid social with a short-form, content-led approach. We have an in-house content team producing thousands of human ads a month, all in service of driving efficient, measurable growth for our clients. We're moving fast, building something genuinely new in performance creative, and looking for people who want to grow with it.
THE ROLE
You're a content creator at your core. You know how to make things that stop the scroll, you live on social media, and you have a real body of work that proves it. What sets you apart is that you can also run a proper set: you understand lighting, exposure, and how to get the most out of talent on camera, whether shooting with a phone or Sony FX30 cameras.
This is an impactful role at a high-growth company pioneering what performance creative looks like. As we scale our production output, we're investing in the people who can lead sets, build systems, and train the next wave of production talent around them.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Produce and shoot content across formats - from phone-first run-and-gun to fully lit multi-camera setups - matching the approach to the creative brief at a high volume daily.
  • Own on-set production from prep through wrap, including scheduling, logistics, location scouting, and set dressing.
  • Operate and set up camera, lighting, and audio with precision. You can run a multi-camera DSLR setup with Sony cameras (FX30 or similar) and dial in exposures, color, and lighting to look great on screen.
  • Direct and coach creator talent to get their best performances on camera.
  • Train and lead junior production staff and interns to execute a high volume of shoots every day.
  • Work closely with Creative Strategists to translate scripts into production-ready plans.
  • Stay on top of what's trending on social - formats, creators, platform behavior - and bring that awareness into every shoot.
  • Tap your large network of NYC creators to recruit great talent for shoots.
  • Be comfortable stepping in front of the camera yourself if the moment calls for it.
  • Partner with editors post-shoot to hand off footage cleanly and with clear context.
  • Maintain production equipment, including inventory, upkeep, and day-to-day readiness.

REQUIREMENTS
  • An active content creator with a real body of work you're proud to share
  • 2+ years of hands-on production experience across social content formats, including phone and DSLR cameras
  • Solid DP fundamentals - you understand exposure, color, composition, and lighting at a technical level and can execute them on set.
  • Technically proficient with Sony cameras (FX30 and similar) and equally comfortable shooting on a phone.
  • Experience running and dressing sets; you know how to make a space look intentional, not accidental.
  • Comfortable directing talent of all experience levels.
  • An avid social media consumer with genuine cultural fluency - you know what's trending and why it works.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple concurrent shoots without dropping anything.
  • Calm and solutions-oriented when things don't go as planned.
  • A large network of NYC creators you can activate - real relationships, not just a following.
  • (Preferred) Experience producing content for paid social or performance marketing.
BENEFITS
  • This is a full-time, in-office position based in NYC.
  • Competitive compensation ($62,000-$75,000 base salary)
  • Company-paid health, dental, and vision insurance
  • $300/month commuter benefit
  • Annual team offsites (our last two were in Tulum, Mexico and Hokkaido, Japan)
