Cardiac Sonographer
Position Summary:
The Cardiac Sonographer will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiographic studies to assist in diagnosing and monitoring patients with heart conditions. This role involves using ultrasound equipment to capture detailed images of the heart, providing crucial information to cardiologists and other healthcare providers for patient treatment and care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and other cardiac ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians.
  • Capture high-quality images of the heart and surrounding blood vessels using ultrasound equipment.
  • Ensure proper patient preparation, including explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
  • Analyze and evaluate images, identifying key features of heart conditions for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of all echocardiogram results.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with all medical, ethical, and regulatory standards related to cardiac sonography.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification required (or must obtain within 6 months).
  • 1+ years of experience in echocardiography, preferred but not required. New graduates with appropriate training are welcome to apply.
