Job description

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer specialising in Search and GenAI to join our global Delivery team, supporting enterprise customers in deploying, customizing, and operating Squirro’s AI-powered search and insights platform.


What You’ll Do

As a Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to implement and support AI-driven search and insights solutions across enterprise environments. In this role, you will combine technical expertise, customer interaction, and solution engineering to deliver scalable AI and search solutions that create measurable business value.


  • Client Engagement & Solution Delivery: Work with customers and partners throughout solution qualification, implementation, deployment, and support phases, ensuring successful delivery and adoption of Squirro solutions.
  • Solution Design & Technical Consulting: Collaborate with business and engineering stakeholders to translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions that meet business expectations.
  • Platform Customization & Development: Extend the Squirro platform with custom backend components using Python and Bash, develop integrations, and support REST API implementations.
  • Search, AI & Data Engineering: Implement and optimize enterprise search solutions using Elasticsearch, AI/LLM integrations, Agentic Workflows, and modern AI tooling to improve relevance, automation, and insights generation.
  • Infrastructure & Deployment: Deploy and manage solutions within Linux and hybrid infrastructure environments, using tools such as Ansible and microservices-based architectures.
  • Documentation & Cross-functional Collaboration: Maintain technical documentation, contribute to knowledge sharing, and collaborate with engineering teams on product improvements and customer-driven feature requirements.


What You Bring

As our customer base continues to grow, we're looking for a hands-on Solutions Engineer who is comfortable operating at both strategic and technical levels. You will support the Delivery team in implementing scalable AI, search, and data solutions for enterprise customers.


  • Strong Python experience
  • Experience working in technical consulting, software engineering, or DevOps roles
  • Experience in customer-facing technical environments
  • Experience deploying and supporting Linux-based systems
  • Experience with Elasticsearch in production environments, including relevancy tuning and search optimization
  • Familiarity with LLMs, Agentic Workflows, and AI integration patterns
  • Experience with REST APIs, backend development, and third-party integrations
  • Experience with databases such as Postgres, MySQL/MariaDB, or Redis
  • Familiarity with microservices architectures and hybrid infrastructure deployments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences


Nice to have:

  • NLP and Machine Learning experience
  • Experience with Flask, FastAPI, React, or NGINX
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible
  • Experience with project delivery in Agile or Waterfall environments
