Job description

The mission of the Rapid Application Development Centre and Ticketing Services Department is to offer a rapid development alternative for innovative cloud solutions, enabling the delivery of support and contingency applications for all Desjardins business sectors. The department also contributes to the evolution and optimization of the HR Service Delivery (HRSD) solution to support HR processes and improve the employee experience. In an environment of organizational transformation and rapid delivery, management relies on project squads mobilized to deliver initiatives concurrently, in close collaboration with internal partners and a strategic external supplier. As a ServiceNow solutions architect, you play a key role in defining the solutions implemented and ensuring their consistency and quality. You help align business needs, IT guidelines and platform capabilities, while guiding solution design to ensure sustainability, scalability and value for the organization. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Serve as an expert advisor on application solutions and operations architecture and as an integrator for one or more delivery teams for projects, initiatives and development activities that have a significant impact on the organization.
  • Advise business partners and interested parties to help them position, plan, develop, configure, execute and monitor innovative technology solutions for the projects, initiatives and strategic mandates under your responsibility.
  • Design IT solutions that meet business needs and oversee the development of policies and standards, taking into account data, application, security and infrastructure needs to support your unit's strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Identify and analyze potential IT solutions that meet the organization's needs. Identify and analyze issues. Report major issues. Diagnose issues, establish guidelines and make recommendations to decision-making bodies and committees.
  • Represent your unit before committees and decision-making bodies.
  • Represent Desjardins when making agreements with external partners and organizations.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience as a solutions architect, including five years as a ServiceNow architect, and experience implementing HR solutions in organizations of comparable complexity to Desjardins
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification from ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Proficiency with the following components: Employee Center Pro, HR Services, HR Case and Knowledge Management, Employee Journey Management, including Lifecycle Events, Enterprise Onboarding and Transitions, Employee Document Management, HR Service Delivery data model
  • Knowledge of performance analytics
  • Knowledge of predictive intelligence
  • Knowledge of AI capabilities within ServiceNow, including Virtual Agent and Now Assist
