Counter Sales Associate – Huntsville, AL

We seek a proven contributor to join our branch operations as a Counter Sales Associate. The ideal candidate is an energetic team player whose primary role will be assisting customers at the counter. The candidate must be interested in innovating to solve business problems, be willing to immediately tackle key challenges, and thrive in a customer service/sales environment.

Hours: Available to work between the hours of 7:30 – 5:00 pm / Monday - Friday and rotating Saturdays 8:00 - 12:00 noon (*will receive a 1/2 day off during the week when scheduled to work on Saturday)

Summary of Job: Responsible for delivering products to customers and being the face of Wiseway This position requires you to assist customers in person and over the phone, entering orders in the Solar/Eclipse system, reviewing/selecting orders, and ensuring customers’ needs are met professionally and courteously. Knowledge of residential, construction, and commercial plumbing products is a plus. Responsible for providing excellent customer service to all customers by providing the right material, quantity, and promptly.

Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age

Valid driver’s license and verified safe driving record

Work in a warehouse setting; some outdoor exposure during the workday; temperature is not controlled

Required to stand and walk for long periods.

Essential Functions:

Notify the order creator of any inventory or delivery delays or problems.

Make sure will-calls are staged within one hour.

Understand and follow company policies and procedures. Always operating with a safety-first standard.

Ensure all customers are promptly and professionally greeted and assisted at the counter or via phone

Accurately, completely, and promptly input customer orders into the Solar/Eclipse system by obtaining all pertinent information.

Strive to continuously improve product, technical, and computer system knowledge.

Perform all assigned duties safely and efficiently adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as required or requested by management.

Undergo pre-employment screenings, including background check and drug screen.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; three (3) years of warehouse-related/customer service experience.

Qualifications:

Experience with inventory management systems or related software.
