SUMMARY

 

The Substation Project Execution Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the successful execution of engineering projects within the renewable energy space, with a focus on solar, battery storage, and other clean energy solutions. This position reports to the Field Operations Manager III, Substation Execution, or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate. This role will involve managing complex projects from the planning and design phases to construction and completion. The Substation Project Execution Manager will collaborate closely with internal engineering, procurement, logistics, and operational teams, ensuring timely and effective delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This position requires a strong engineering background, hands-on project execution experience, and the ability to navigate the technical, financial, and regulatory challenges associated with renewable energy projects.

This position reports to the Field Operations Manager III, or another management personnel that the CEO may designate. This position is remote[VN1][VB2], working from home and traveling to project sites. Working hours will depend on project demands. This position is expected to travel up to 20% of the time.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
 

Project Execution:

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of engineering projects from initial planning through construction and completion, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client needs.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resources, adjusting as necessary to achieve optimal project outcomes.
  • Oversee technical aspects of projects, including design, engineering, and compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Lead project meetings, track progress, and address any issues or risks that arise during project execution.

Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Foster collaboration between engineering, procurement, logistics, project management, construction, and other departments to drive efficient project execution.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Effectively communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Risk Management & Problem-Solving:

  • Proactively identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate or resolve them.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to troubleshoot and solve complex engineering and project-related issues.
  • Implement risk management processes to anticipate challenges early and develop solutions to minimize impacts on project timelines and budgets.

Technical Expertise & Quality Control:

  • Apply expert engineering knowledge to evaluate design plans, ensure that the appropriate technical solutions are implemented, and verify compliance with standards and client requirements.
  • Review engineering designs and ensure the proper selection of materials, equipment, and construction methods.
  • Ensure that all projects meet or exceed technical, safety, and regulatory standards.

Strategic Contribution & Business Development:

  • Contribute to the strategic planning of the engineering department and organization’s overall project portfolio.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and market dynamics to help drive continuous improvement.
