About the Role
As the Operations Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of our Plano, TX branch warehouse, ensuring products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and on time. You'll oversee warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics while coaching and developing a high-performing team.
Working closely with Branch Leadership and cross-functional partners, you'll help drive operational excellence, support customer success, and contribute to the continued growth of BayWa r.e.
What You'll Do
  • Lead and develop warehouse associates and drivers (where applicable), creating a positive, accountable, and safety-focused culture.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and logistics.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting, process discipline, and continuous operational improvements.
  • Drive productivity while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and customer service.
  • Partner with Sales, Logistics, and Branch Leadership to ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on schedule.
  • Promote and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards through training, inspections, and coaching.
  • Manage employee scheduling, performance, workforce planning, and day-to-day operational priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, streamline processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution operations.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience with inventory management, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification within six months of hire and OSHA 30 certification within one year.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a customer-first mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and consistently following safety procedures.

Physical Requirements
This position is based in an active warehouse environment and requires the ability to regularly stand, walk, sit, lift and move materials up to 50 pounds, operate forklifts and other powered warehouse equipment, and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. The role also requires bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing stairs, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while following all company safety policies.
