Are you a proven closer looking for a career opportunity with real growth potential?

Do you thrive on earning trust, solving problems, and closing deals?

Do you want the opportunity to grow into a leadership role with one of Northern Alberta's most established renewable energy companies?

If so, we want to hear from you.

About Empower Energy

Empower Energy is a locally owned solar energy company based in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Since 2015, we have helped homeowners, farmers, businesses, and municipalities take control of their energy costs through professionally designed and installed solar energy systems.

With more than 500 completed projects and over 8 million watts of solar installed across Alberta and Northeast British Columbia, we have built a reputation for quality workmanship, honest advice, and exceptional customer service.

Unlike many sales organizations, we generate qualified leads through our website, referrals, digital marketing, community involvement, and established reputation. This is not a cold-calling or door-to-door sales position.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced sales professional who can help drive the next phase of our success and eventually grow into a leadership position within the company.

The Opportunity

This is not an entry-level sales position.

We are looking for a motivated, high-performing sales professional who understands how to build trust, uncover customer needs, overcome objections, and confidently ask for the sale.

You do not need previous solar experience.

We can teach solar.

What we cannot teach is the drive, discipline, professionalism, and closing ability required to consistently win business.

If you are currently succeeding in construction, HVAC, agricultural, industrial, equipment, automotive, insurance, real estate, or other relationship-based sales, we want to talk with you.

The successful candidate will have a clear path toward future sales leadership as Empower Energy continues to expand.

What You'll Do

  • Meet with homeowners, farmers, business owners, and municipal customers
  • Conduct in-person and virtual consultations
  • Present solar and energy storage proposals
  • Discuss financing and payment options
  • Build trust and long-term customer relationships
  • Follow up consistently with prospective customers
  • Manage opportunities within our CRM system
  • Generate referrals from satisfied customers
  • Represent Empower Energy at trade shows and community events
  • Work closely with our design and operations teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets

What We're Looking For:

Required

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience preferred
  • Proven history of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrated ability to close deals
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and highly organized
  • Excellent follow-up habits
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel throughout Northern Alberta and Northeast BC as required

Assets

  • Solar industry experience
  • Construction, HVAC, roofing, electrical, agricultural, industrial, equipment, or energy-related sales experience
  • CRM experience
  • Existing professional network within Northern Alberta

Compensation & Benefits

  • $60,000 annual base salary
  • Uncapped commission structure
  • Residential sales: 3% commission
  • Commercial and agricultural sales: 2% commission
  • Accelerator commission program for high performers
  • Expected earnings: $100,000 - $180,000+
  • Exceptional performers can exceed $200,000 annually
  • Health and dental benefits
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Career advancement opportunities
  • Potential future leadership and management opportunities
  • Opportunity to help shape the future direction of a growing company

Why Join Empower Energy?

At Empower Energy, you're not just joining another sales team.

You're joining a company with a proven reputation, a strong brand, an experienced operations team, and a steady flow of qualified opportunities.

We're looking for someone who wants more than a sales job. We're looking for someone who wants to become a key contributor and future leader within our organization.

If you're a results-driven sales professional who wants to build a meaningful career while helping customers take control of their energy future, we'd like to hear from you.
