Job Description A Solar (O&M) Technician inspects, diagnoses, and repairs solar energy systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Daily duties involve monitoring energy production, performing preventive maintenance on panels and inverters, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. The role requires strong technical skills in electrical systems, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with specialized diagnostic tools, and offers a growing career path in the expanding solar industry.

Key Responsibilities System Monitoring: Use data acquisition systems to track energy production and identify potential performance issues. Inspections & Maintenance: Conduct visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections of solar panels, inverters, and other components to ensure proper functionality. Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in electrical, mechanical, and communication systems using specialized tools.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance, and any issues found. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, protocols, and warranty requirements. Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Expertise: Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, solar energy technologies, and grid-tied systems.
