Travel is required as this position may be located at one of our projects with locations including: Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, Washington, Texas, Oklahoma, and other states.
Per-diem is available to help cover temporary living expenses for candidates who the eligibility criteria. Depending on project availability, once your time on this project ends, you may be transferred to the next project in a different state.

Here's how a HSE Supervisor for PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. within Solar USA contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
  • Implements and supports project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices.
  • Identifies, evaluates, develops and delivers project specific HSE training.
  • Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects.
  • Recognizes, evaluates, and advises on hazard identification.
  • Leads and conducts project HSE inspections and monitors the quality and effectiveness of inspections and trade safety plans.
  • Develops and evaluates efficiency of the project emergency response plan, site-specific security requirements and the environmental plan.
  • Monitors and audits trade contractor HSE performance.
  • Participates in on-site investigative processes and evaluating corrective actions taken.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Coaches, trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Holds safety designation.
  • 5 years' experience in a health and safety role in a related industry. Previous experience in a supervisory role an asset.
  • Solid understanding of applicable OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
  • Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to problem-solve.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
