Job Overview:
The Compliance Specialist supports apprenticeship and compliance efforts on solar construction sites. This role is responsible for monitoring program metrics, ensuring adherence to IRA and DOL regulations, and maintaining accurate documentation. The coordinator works closely with project teams and payroll to validate certified hours, resolve compliance issues, and generate required reports. Additionally, they assist with training logistics and serve as a key liaison between the field and compliance teams.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Monitor apprenticeship program metrics for a project site to ensure 100% compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Produce regular reports necessary for Project compliance for IRA and DOL Compliance.
  • Gather apprenticeship program documentation and monitor apprentice progress.
  • Interact with various project teams for compliance.
  • Work closely with Payroll to validate certified payroll hours and rates.
  • Quickly respond to and resolve any non-conformities identified within the project site based on guidance from Compliance Specialist.
  • Auditing & reporting at the project site level.
  • Serve as the Liaison for project site team and IRA compliance team.
  • Answer questions and provide guidance regarding IRA and DOL compliance.
  • Assist Field Trainer with track, scheduling, filing of documentation and reporting.

Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Construction experience preferred.
  • Experience using multiple technology platforms to track & manage data and providing accurate forecasting.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to create and launch new programs, services, or initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of government regulations, IRA, certified payroll, and apprenticeship programs.
  • Ability to navigate, Power BI, and related software platforms.

Safety and Dress Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

  • Must comply with client safety requirements (e.g., clean-shaven, long sleeves, steel-toe boots).
  • Able to:
    • Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, and stairways.
    • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at heights or in confined spaces (e.g., towers, vessels, excavations).
    • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (Use assistance for heavier loads).
    • Stand or walk for extended periods on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel).
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and other PPE when required.

Location: Industrial construction sites, office, and/or fabrication shop.
