Position Summary:

A Software Engineer in Test is a software engineering role within Dover Fueling Solutions that adheres to test implementations.  There is the expectation they will learn what is important to our business, and make good decisions about what to test, how deeply to test it, and the best approach to testing it- all with an intense customer focus.  Quality is everything and these engineers are entrusted to ensure that is exactly what is being delivered to our customers. This position will create and execute exploratory, end-to-end, and manual and automated tests that allow the whole team to move faster while assuring the highest quality for our customers.


 

Position Responsibilities:


   Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases and scripts using Playwright.
   Author, maintain, and execute manual test scripts as required to supplement automated testing for Functional, End-to-End and Regression testing to ensure comprehensive coverage of both business and technical requirements.
   Generate required test and defect reports while providing timely communication to stakeholders.
   Log, track, and manage defects using Jira or equivalent issue tracking tools, collaborating with development and QA teams for prompt resolution.
   Set up and maintain different test environments that will include SW/HW
   Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices to validate all contractual, functional, and technical requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
   Participate actively in Agile development ceremonies and workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams in an iterative development environment.
   Support development, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production environments, including troubleshooting test cases and addressing system issues as needed.
   Work effectively with members of the project team to ensure project success and champion high quality throughout the project
   Proactively seek ways to incorporate new/creative ideas and methodologies into testing efforts by keeping abreast of current methodologies, technologies and tools
 

Qualification Requirements:


   Bachelor's or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
   3-5 years of experience in software testing
   Good understanding of cloud computing platforms such as Azure, IOT technologies etc.
   Knowledge on Payments, POS, EV chargers preferably.
   Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably C#)
   Hands-on experience in test automation (like Playwright) along with strong API automation testing experience
   Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
   Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
   Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team and keep stakeholders informed of progress toward goals
   Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
   Ability to build trust and maintain relationships across technical and business teams
   Ability to quickly gain domain knowledge, focus on prioritizing opportunities for test automation and build stable and repeatable automation frameworks and scripts
   Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and strong teamwork relationships
