Join our team as a Senior Software Quality Engineer, Machine Operations!

This is a fixed hybrid role on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at HQ in Maple Plain MN.

The Senior Quality Engineer (SQE) partners with product managers, developers, and software quality engineers to ensure high-quality delivery of corporate systems applications. This role is responsible for end-to-end quality ownership of large features or applications, including test planning, manual testing, and execution of automated test scripts. From requirements through production, the SQE ensures solutions meet functional, performance, and reliability standards. 
What You'll Do

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Create and execute software tests that include functional testing, system testing, and regression testing 

  • Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases

  • Investigate and capture bugs and issues using logs, development tools, and other tools available

  • Review and validate requirements and acceptance criteria with product managers and stakeholders

  • Identify gaps, edge cases, and non‑functional risks early in the design phase

  • Participate on Agile Scrum teams to provide test estimates, create tests, and execute tests

  • Perform other job duties as assigned 

Technical Excellence & Collaboration 

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well documented code following established development standards 

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices 

  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, analysts, QA, and operations teams 

  • Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly to team members and stakeholders 

Automation & Innovation 
• Explore and apply AI based tools or techniques to improve development efficiency and automation  (where appropriate) 

What It Takes

Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience 

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, Software Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance  

  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, inclusive of warehouse, inventory, and manufacturing execution (kanbans) in a testing or support role

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Demonstrated familiarity of formalized software test practices and methodologies 

  • Experience with version control systems and modern development workflows 

What Makes You Standout
  • Experience using an automated test tool, such as Playwright, Selenium, or QTP    

  • Hands on experience using C#, Python, SQL OR other scripting languages for UI and API 

  • Experience with version control systems such as SVN, GIT or TFS   

  • Experience using test or defect tracking tools within the software development lifecycle    

  • Experience leveraging AI tools for automation 

  • Experience with test automation frameworks and automated quality practices
