Job Summary:
ECS is seeking a Software Test Engineer - Journeyman to support the Army National Guard ENOCS program by developing and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the functionality, security, and performance of mission-critical applications. The selected candidate will play a key role in validating enterprise-level software solutions and collaborating closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for application validation.
• Document defects and work collaboratively with development teams for resolution.
• Implement test automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.
• Conduct system integration testing to ensure seamless application performance.
• Validate enterprise applications to meet security and functionality standards.
• Perform database testing using SQL to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Execute API testing using SOAP UI to verify interface functionality.
• Utilize Agile/Scrum methodologies to align testing processes with development cycles.
• Provide detailed test reports and feedback to stakeholders.
• Support testing activities for federal agency applications, ensuring compliance with mission-critical requirements.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Clearance: Secret Eligible required
• U.S. Citizenship required
• DoD 8140.03 Compliance: DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 632-Systems Developer at the Basic proficiency level
• Certifications (one or more required): CND
• B.S. in Information Technology
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Expertise in test automation frameworks and enterprise application validation
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience in database testing using SQL
• Demonstrated experience with API testing tools such as SOAP UI
• Experience working with federal agencies like DOJ and DOL
Preferred:
• Clearance: Active Secret preferred
• Experience with DoD and Army National Guard enterprise systems
• Familiarity with DoD 8140 alignment and compliance standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a federal IT environment
• Experience in supporting mission-critical applications for federal agencies
• Knowledge of system integration testing within large-scale IT programs
