MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Automated Software Test Engineer to support our contract under Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) out of Stafford, VA. The Software Test Engineer will be performing research and analysis on new and existing technologies and tools to provide more efficient software development and test techniques and processes for our Marine Corps client.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and facilitate Automated Software Test-related technical and strategy discussions.

  • Evaluate existing software test tools for implementation in the USMC environment.

  • Develop automation requirements and an implementation roadmap for the client.

  • Conduct proof of concept/prototype demonstrations on designated programs of record.

  • Integrate automated test protocols into existing agile and CI/CD pipelines.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of related experience in software test engineering.

  • Knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques, including black box, white box, and gray box testing.

  • At least 2 years of experience with Automation Testing Frameworks such as Robot Framework, Appium, TestComplete, or similar tools.

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript, and their application in automation testing. Ability to write automation scripts using programming languages and automation testing frameworks.

  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and their impact on software testing.

  • Knowledge of the Software Acquisition Pathway (SWP), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of DoD Acquisition/T&E policies and regulations.

  • Understanding of DoN/USMC Logistics lifecycle management processes, policies, and organization.

  • Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications, such as ISTQB, CSTE, or similar certifications.

  • Understanding of USMC Logistics management Defense Business Systems (e.g., GCSS-MC) and cloud environments (e.g., MCBOSS)

  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Understanding of AI/ML use in testing.

Security Clearance Required:

  • Must have a current/active DoD Secret Clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work
