We are seeking aย Senior Software Test Analystย to join our team. This role will involve leading end-to-end quality assurance activities, coordinating user acceptance testing, and ensuring the successful delivery of enterprise-level applications supporting public health initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in QA leadership, functional and integration testing, UAT coordination, defect management, automation frameworks, and DevOps test management tools, along with a passion for delivering reliable and high-quality government technology solutions.

Job Description:

Theย Software Test Analyst 5ย will lead and oversee testing activities across large-scale application projects. The role requires strong experience in public sector or public health environments and the ability to mentor team members while ensuring testing quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead QA testing efforts including functional testing and system integration testing across enterprise applications.
  • Coordinate and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with stakeholders and business teams.
  • Maintain and review test logs and defect logs; prioritize defects and track resolution progress.
  • Mentor and guide QA team members on testing methodologies, best practices, and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain test cases, test plans, and test artifacts using DevOps or similar lifecycle management tools.
  • Perform automated testing using tools such as Provar, Selenium, SmartBear, or similar platforms.
  • Prepare testing closure documentation and publish testing metrics and status reports.
  • Ensure high-priority defects are resolved and support transition of projects into maintenance/production support.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure successful releases.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience leading QA testing, functional testing, and system integration testing (preferably in Public Health projects).
  • 8+ years coordinating User Acceptance Testing for projects and support releases.
  • 5+ years managing test logs, defect tracking, defect prioritization, and resolution follow-up.
  • 5+ years mentoring or leading QA team members.
  • 5+ years working with DevOps or test management tools for maintaining test cases and plans.
  • 3+ years experience in automated testing tools (Provar, Selenium, SmartBear, or similar).
  • 5+ years preparing testing closure documentation and reporting testing metrics.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must be local within 60 miles of Lansing, MI.
  • Must be available for in-person interview.
  • No remote-only option.
