Senior Service Quality Assurance Analyst

A Minneapolis, MN client is looking for a Senior Service Quality Assurance Analyst.
This position will start ASAP and is anticipated to end 6/30/15.
The successful candidate to fill this Senior Service Quality Assurance position will require previous QA experience in an Agile (scrum) environment.ย  The QA Analyst participates and fulfills a variety of responsibilities conjointly with a cross-functional team and requires a person who can think outside the box, work with a a variety of people and challenges as well as in an environment that is flexible and fast paced.ย  This position is responsible for building test cases, asking questions and challenging assumptions to help clarify the business requirements, participating in estimating stories, providing fast feedback to developers and Product Owner, participating in release readiness, and enforcing the definition of done.
This position is responsible for leading and developing automated test strategies and scripts that can provides repeatable, consistent, regression tests for Saleesforce.com functionality.ย  Experience with HP Quick Test Pro is required and experience in HP Quality Center administration is a definite plus. ย 
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ย ย  ย In-depth understanding of Software Testing Methodology (Agile/Scrum) which includes Test Planning, Test Coverage, Unit Test Development, Functional Test Development, Test Execution, Test Triage, Fix Verification and Regression Testing.
ย ย  ย Test Execution: Triage Automated Tests. Conduct Functional, Regression, to assure Functionality is working as expected.
ย ย  ย Works with minimal direction from management
ย ย  ย Works well in fast-paced, team environment
ย ย  ย Ability to coordinate testing efforts with other members, service owners and development team
ย ย  ย Participates in sprint planning and assists Product Owner in ensuring user stories are understood and testable
ย ย  ย Participates in test plan and test case reviews and assists in the QA process
ย ย  ย Can accurately and effectively communicate testing status to Service Director, knows how to use accumulated project data to present status
ย ย  ย  Actively discovers, researches and makes recommendations for process improvement
ย ย  ย Automates manual test cases and knows when automation of test cases is useful as well as not
Automation Specific: Functional/Regression Automation Testing
ย ย  ย Being able to lead automation tasks with a project
ย ย  ย Being able to design a solid automation framework where test scripts are reusable and easily maintained
ย ย  ย Create and communicate automation programming standards to team members
ย ย  ย Self-motivated with a "Lead by example" attitude
ย ย  ย Define, design, develop, execute automated and manual tests and review results

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
ย ย  ย Ability to conduct, monitor and provide feedback to others for Unit/Functional/ Regression Test Execution
ย ย  ย Problem Research and Error Isolation: Conduct analysis of testing results/failures. Prepare and submit detailed problem reports for correction. Work with Business Owners and development staff to resolve issues.
ย ย  ย Fix Verification/Impact Analysis: Verify problems reported during testing are working as designed. Verify no further regressions are caused by the fix.
ย ย  ย Responsible for communicating with Service Director on test progress/status in a timely manner.
ย ย  ย Develop high and in-depth Product Knowledge and develop Subject Matter Expertise. Able to access impact of changes through our product and determine test coverage needed.
ย ย  ย Ability to work with Product Owner for customer priorities, escalated items and to meet project completion dates with acceptable levels of software quality
ย ย  ย Analyze defects. Expand test coverage, test documentation and test execution accordingly.
ย ย  ย Able to identify and implement solutions for Process and Testing improvements.
ย ย  ย Produce or improve process and procedure documentation
ย ย  ย Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and consistent follow-through to assure problems are resolved and Product meets established criteria
ย ย  ย Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate with individuals with all levels of technical and non-technical skill sets
ย ย  ย Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, people skills are essential
ย ย  ย Good listening skills; problem solving and the ability to handle multiple projects at once is necessary
ย ย  ย Ability to demonstrate initiative for identifying problems, determining solutions, suggesting and implementing Process and Testing improvements
ย ย  ย The ability to handle objections, criticism and counter professionally as necessary


Qualifications
ย REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
ย ย  ย Education: BS degree with an emphasis in CS/MIS/CIS
ย ย  ย Understanding of Software Development and Testing Methodologies (specifically Agile/Scrum/TDD)
ย ย  ย Must have the ability to develop Test Procedures, Test Plans and Test Strategies
ย ย  ย 5+ years of experience in developing tests and test data for software systems, Web and Mobile applications
ย ย  ย 5+ years of experience in test execution of software systems, Web and Mobile applications
ย ย  ย Experience working with Stakeholders regarding information gathering and problem identification
ย ย  ย Experience with HP Quick Test Professional
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
ย ย  ย Experience with Salesforce or other Client Relationship Management products a definite plus
ย ย  ย Certification in Quality Assurance highly desirable
ย ย  ย Certification in test automation highly desirable
ย ย  ย Experience with tools other than HP Quality Center and HP Quick Test Professional (ie. Jira, Selenium for example) a plus
ย ย  ย Experience with HP Quality Center administration a plus
ย ย  ย 5+ years of software development a plus
