Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Project Coordinator in Montgomery, AL. The Project Coordinator will support the management team by overseeing project documentation, scheduling, and communication for infrastructure and communications projects. The ideal candidate is a highly organized professional with strong Microsoft Excel skills who can effectively bridge the gap between field operations and administrative requirements.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $27 to $33 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize project documentation, ensuring all digital and physical files are accurately maintained and accessible.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and maintain project trackers, budget spreadsheets, and status reports.
  • Coordinate communication between Project Managers, field superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment.
  • Process and track project-specific documents such as RFIs, submittals, and change order requests.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of project schedules to ensure milestones are met on time.
  • Coordinate with vendors for material procurement and track delivery dates to prevent site delays.
  • Compile and distribute project closeout packages, including warranties, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings.
  • Track project expenses and assist with the preparation of billing and payment applications.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular administrative updates to the project leadership team.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry and reporting to support project financial health.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a project coordination or administrative role, preferably within the MEP or telecommunications sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including the ability to manage complex spreadsheets.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both field personnel and corporate stakeholders.
  • Experience with construction project management software (such as Procore or Sage) is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit for prolonged periods while using a computer and telephone.
  • Ability to see and read small print on drawings and computer screens.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and reaching may be required in an office or job site trailer environment.
