The Position

Senior Product Manager

The Opportunity:

Roche Diagnostics is seeking an innovative Senior Product Manager to join our Near Patient Care (NPC) diagnostics marketing team. In this role, you will act as the technical and commercial business owner for several portfolios, inclusive of Molecular Point of Care, Immunoassay and Clinical Chemistry, and Blood Gas and Electrolytes.

We are seeking a professional with a passion for product excellence through on-market planning and product stewardship while simultaneously managing product lifecycles, pricing strategies, and global stakeholder alignment. You will help shape the US launch plans for on-market instrument menu expansion as well as new platforms while serving as the primary liaison between many cross-functional groups across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the definitive technical expert and business owner for the utility and use of assigned products in the marketplace.

  • Partner with demand planning teams to gather data and create product forecasts and business plans that drive growth.

  • Generate and execute product launch plans inclusive of pricing strategies, customer segmentation, and sales enablement.

  • Collaborate with global business partners to drive US market requirements into current and future product portfolios; influence global life cycle teams on specific product requirements.

  • Responsible for internal processes driving software/hardware updates, and product expirations. Serve as the strategic lead on product availability and back-order management for the field sales force.

  • Utilize high-level stakeholder management skills to influence teams without formal authority to ensure alignment, proactively identify bottlenecks, and mobilize resources to keep complex, long-term projects on track and achieve business milestones

  • Own the annual business plan for your future portfolio, including the development and implementation of tactics and the evaluation of performance through business reviews.

  • Influence the business plan for on market products through the business planning process with additional Near Patient Care marketers and cross-functional partners

  • Instilling leadership through others by acting as a role model to drive impactful business solutions and positive change, encouraging, motivating and empowering others and helping others to success.

  • Develops business area mastery to include understanding of market segments, business model, analysis of key metrics that define success, forecasting sales and product, share performance, trends, competition, customer critical success factors and needs through interaction with customers for integration with programs.

Who you are:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field

  • You hold 5 years of marketing, business, sales or relevant business experience

Preferred:

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Experience working across multiple life-science subject matter areas

  • High level executive presence

  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams

  • High intellectual curiosity and attention to detail

  • Ability to travel moderately as dictated by business need

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Regulatory and compliance awareness (e.g. USDA, ISO 9000, CLIA, FDA, GMP), ISO 9000, CLIA, FDA, GMP)

Location:

  • This position is based onsite in our Indianapolis campus.

  • No relocation benefits are provided for this role.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $124,400 - $231,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
