We are looking for a Senior Manager of Software Development to lead the OCI Build engineering team. OCI Build is a critical developer infrastructure platform that enables OCI teams to securely and reliably turn source code into deployable artifacts at cloud scale.

In this role, you will lead engineering teams responsible for the architecture, reliability, security, and evolution of the Build platform. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is looking for a Senior Manager of Software Development to lead engineering teams building and operating OCI Build, a critical part of OCI's internal software delivery platform.

OCI Build enables engineering teams across OCI to securely and reliably turn source code into deployable artifacts. The platform supports large-scale build execution and integrates with OCI's source control, CI/CD pipelines, artifact repositories, security systems, and developer tooling.

This is a hands-on engineering leadership role for someone who enjoys building strong teams, solving distributed-systems problems, and improving how developers build and ship software at cloud scale.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and grow engineering teams responsible for OCI Build services and infrastructure.
  • Own the architecture, delivery, reliability, security, and operational health of critical build-platform components.
  • Set technical direction and work closely with senior engineers on distributed systems, build execution, orchestration, scalability, and performance.
  • Improve build speed, reliability, capacity, observability, and developer experience.
  • Drive security and software supply-chain improvements across build execution, dependencies, secrets, and artifact publishing.
  • Partner with OCI engineering teams to understand build and CI/CD needs, resolve systemic issues, and prioritize platform improvements.
  • Build a strong operational culture through automation, monitoring, incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop engineers and managers through clear expectations, coaching, feedback, and meaningful ownership.
  • Hire and retain a diverse team and create an environment where people with different backgrounds and perspectives can do their best work.
  • Work across OCI organizations to define priorities and deliver multi-team initiatives.
