QNX is seeking an accomplished Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and verification of our Development Tools suite and the QNX Software Center. Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead a highperforming engineering team through clear direction, coaching, and continuous development.
  • Build team capability by hiring exceptional talent, conducting regular performance reviews, and creating growth plans tailored to individual strengths.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Guide technical decisionmaking by facilitating design discussions, resolving architectural debates, and ensuring alignment with product strategy.
  • Strengthen crossfunctional collaboration with Product Management, Architecture, QA, and other BlackBerry/QNX teams.

Technical Ownership

  • Ensure high quality design, development, and maintenance for QNX's IDEbased tools and deviceside tools and services.
  • Drive innovation by updating existing tools and producing new tools, pushing our tools to exceed customer expectations.
  • Clarify and elaborate on customer requirements, working closely with product management, customers, and architects.
  • Develop and maintain the Tool Qualification analysis for Safety (ISO 26262) and Security (ISO 21434) standards.
  • Oversee software specifications and designs that address customer needs and provide accurate technical estimates.
  • Review technical design and code through to sign-off, as well as oversee unit test implementations across all relevant targets.
  • Ensure complex software issues are identified and resolved.
  • Champion exceptional product quality and reliability.
  • Promote continuous improvement in engineering practices, tooling, and team workflows.

Compensation Hiring Base Salary Range:

$131,250.00 - $181,250.00

Please be advised that the compensation hiring range indicated herein is provided solely as a good-faith estimate of expected base compensation for the position. The actual compensation offered will be determined at the time of hire and is contingent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated skills, and results of assessments conducted during the hiring process.
