JOB DESCRIPTION (POSITION SUMMARY)

Our ERP Business Process Manager reports to the Senior Manager of Client Services. The ERP Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing client consulting business and operations functions including talent acquisition, business unit leadership, supply chain, sales enablement and marketing, services delivery, customer engagement and Profit & Loss. The ideal candidate will develop process strategies as well as plan and execute initiatives to build awareness and drive business growth for Panorama’s consulting services. He or she will manage a team of full-time and/or contract consultants to deliver projects, processes, programs and services. We expect the ERP Manager to own development, operationalization, and continuously improve our standard delivery best practice objectives to upper management and, when necessary, may be involved in resolving elevated client issues.

This client-facing PMO, BPM OR BPO/OCM Leader will help to transform organizations by serving as an advisor for a functionally aligned organization to a customer-centric, process managed organization. The Business Process Manager will lead their strategic objective with senior business leaders and subject matter experts, this business and process leader will recommend the optimal operating models from a current "as is" state to a "future to be" process management system.

The Manager will lead teams in resolution of critical technical problems, some of complex process scope, where time is of the essence. This leadership role requires considerable and cumulative breadth of knowledge and understanding of business process methodology, project management and ERP methodologies. The Manager is responsible for maintaining a high level of business client satisfaction and successful on-going account management including fostering follow on opportunities and nurturing client relationships.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Lead BPM and process strategy engagements for customers. Must be able to be a key member of the business development team and ability to provide methodology and scoping to the BPM, OCM and BD team.

  2. Formalize project and program management methodologies

  3. Organize management for consulting-related documentation processes including templates and toolsets, feedback systems, SOPs, and internal business processes.

  4. Committed to transforming business processes, operations, strategy, and corporate culture.

  5. Strong project, program, and change management experience across multiple industries delivering successful digital transformation and strategy evolution outcomes.

  6. Committed to solving problems through creating innovation solutions that produce meaningful workplace experiences focused on sustainable success and, people expertise using PMO, BPM & OCM methodologies

  7. Devoted to using Business Process Management and Lean Six Sigma methods to clearly define the business’s current state value streams, to improve customer satisfaction, to drive out waste, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, to efficiently integrate redundant processes, to eliminate silos, and to improve the overall process capability.

  8. Lead discussions/prepare and deliver presentations for all levels of the organization and provide regular updates to senior management on the process management approach, strategy, execution status and efficiency savings.

  9. Focus on business performance that constantly strives to integrate duplicative processes and improve customer value by aligning the business resources in order to execute and implement the business’s future state.

  10. Ability to bring industry and functional area best practice processes to design "future" state.

  11. Manage extended team resources; effectively manage external agencies and resources.

  12. Delivers deep domain expertise in multiple software applications or technical areas as a subject matter expert.

  13. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements.

  14. Provides both management and technical leadership.

  15. Participates in direct customer and sales support as necessary.

  16. Manage team of project managers and client projects for $100,000+ of monthly revenue, which equates to approximately 1-4 projects on average.

  17. Develop and manage client relationships and ensure client satisfaction through the entire ERP project lifecycle.

  18. Motivate the team to meet larger Organizational goals.

  19. Willing to travel nationally and internationally

  20. Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Management Skills: The position will be responsible for managing positions on projects, including but not limited to:

Technical Skills:

  1. Experience supporting various enterprise level applications

  2. Experience managing enterprise software and other Business Process Management technologies

  3. Business Process Management certifications are a plus

Functional Skills:

  1. Strong presence with Tier I and Tier II ERP solutions through the complete project lifecycle, with demonstrated ability to influence key decision makers, including client executives and stakeholders.

  2. Strong leadership and management skills, which include a hands-on style and leading by example.

  3. Strong problem-solving skills inclusive of setting priorities and the ability to lead through difficult client situations.

  4. Extensive experience in influencing cross-functional leaders in a large organization, even when some of whom may have different priorities and goals.

  5. Ability to synthesize data and communications into relevant actionable and standard business processes.

  6. General ERP consulting skills: team facilitation, business case development, strong business analysis, process mapping, business process redesign and implementation.

  7. Good organizational, multi-tasking, interpersonal, and planning skills.

  8. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels to direct and motivate team and others, maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization.

  9. Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, support.

  10. Project management skills: experience with large-scale, complex project management (both consulting and client employees) and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  11. Exceptional attention to detail with deliverables.

Job Related Experience:

  • Experience in managing multiple implementation projects and ERP work streams.
  • Extensive experience in project management.
  • Thorough understanding of project budget, scope and schedule management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.
  • Vendor management experience is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Professional services industry experience required. Expertise in positioning strategy consulting capabilities preferred.

  2. 8+ years of professional experience in consulting settings.

  3. 8+ years of prior relevant experience at related level, including proven executive communications, demonstrated business process acumen and leadership skills.

  4. 5+ years of experience directly leading transformation / process re-engineering / ERP initiatives across multiple industries.

  5. Ability to manage multiple tasks with demonstrable experience in consistently delivering high quality results.

  6. Superior writing and messaging skills. Able to manage internal and external writing resources.

  7. Expertise working alongside senior management; experience in a matrixed organizational structure.

  8. Perform lead oversight role on whole life cycle ERP deployment/development projects.

  9. Able to facilitate meetings and working sessions with client and internal personnel on complex and possibly divisive or controversial subjects and topics.

  10. Lead business practice development efforts; e.g., capturing knowledge capital and developing/conducting internal training courses.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required – Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline is a plus
  • Advanced degree (i.e. MBA or MIS) is a plus.
  • Six Sigma training or Certification is preferred.
  • 5+ years prior or ERP, BPM, PMO relevant consulting experience.
  • Software Selection Implementation experience with Tier I or Tier II is a Plus
  • Organizational Change management Consulting experience is a plus
  • OCM ADKAR/PROSCI Certification - HUGE BONUS
  • 2+ years of progressive management experience in a professional service/sales environment
