Job description


SAIC is seeking engineers to provide Site Implementation support to the FAA Flight Data Input/Output (FDIO) Second Level Engineering organization. These positions are 100% remote when not traveling. Requires approximately 75% travel within the United States.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES MAY INCLUDE:
  • Assisting with FDIO modifications.
  • Reading site drawings.
  • Implementation, installing and validating hardware and software.
  • Cable fabrication and testing.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science degree in engineering or related field and 9+ years experience; May accept additional experience or degrees.
  • Knowledge or experience with FAA processes and systems.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware comparable to Comp TIA A+ certification.
  • Knowledge of cable paths and protocols.
  • Skilled in using MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills using both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Possess a flexible personality, self-motivated and willingness to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
  • US Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust.
