We are currently seeking a Civil Project Manager whos ready to lead, inspire, and grow with us. This pivotal role offers the unique opportunity to build and lead a civil engineering team in Northern Colorado, operating independently from our Loveland office while closely collaborating with our established team in Buffalo, Wyoming. In addition to expanding KL&As civil presence in the region, youll play an essential role in supporting projects throughout Southern Wyoming.

At KL&A, Project Managers are responsible for overseeing financial performance, technical execution, and quality outcomes. Youll serve as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external clients, resolving challenges with insight and experience while upholding our commitment to excellence. Youll also act as a key ambassador of the KL&A brand, cultivating strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Review and maintain project schedules to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Oversee production and prepare comprehensive project documents.
  • Train and mentor junior staff to enhance technical skills and facilitate career growth.
  • Write comprehensive field reports.
  • Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Represent the organization through client interactions and any industry events attended.
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and other industry associates.
  • Demonstrates effective communication through written and verbal skills.
  • Dedication to client-centered service and technical excellence.
  • Effectively run a remote team and engage with the larger organization.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience of Site Development, Civil Construction, Land Surveying, Water Rights, etc.
  • ABET accredited bachelors degree in civil engineering
  • Wyoming Licensed PE
  • Colorado Licensed PE or willing to pursue
  • Proficient using Civil 3D software for producing plans
  • Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. KL&A is not currently sponsoring visas or in the future.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and traverse uneven terrain at construction and job sites for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per day), including in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to conduct occasional full day surveying operations including walking, setting survey stakes, and carrying up to 30 lbs. of equipment.

Annual Salary: $120,000 - $130,000

Bonuses are awarded at discretion, not guaranteed.
