Space Protection Programs is seeking a dynamic Software Engineering Project Manager who will serve as Deputy Lead for an Integrated Product Team (IPT). The ideal candidate will combine strong projectmanagement expertise with deep engineering knowhow to drive complex, multidisciplinary programs from concept through production. This role will support the IPT Lead in steering technical direction, managing schedules, risks, and resources, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
In this role you will:
- Drive software development & integration - Oversee flight software development, integration, and verification activities, ensuring deliverables meet technical, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Own the integrated software program plan - Develop, maintain, and regularly baseline the IPTwide schedule, cost baseline, and performance target documents; track earnedvalue, forecast variances, and drive corrective actions to keep the program ontrack.
- Collaborate with other Program IPTs - Act as the primary liaison between the Software IPT and Systems, Test, Hardware, and MissionLevel IPTs; align milestone dates, dataexchange interfaces, and resource commitments across the full program architecture.
- Work with software functional leadership to establish demand for program efforts and assist in staffing planning activities
- Conduct trade studies, risk analyses, and mitigation planning to protect schedule and budget health.
