Job Description

Software Engineering Director exhibits a mix of technical acumen, strategy and vision, along with the ability to cultivate and grow technical talent. Responsible for designing, developing, implementing and testing a set of technical products in response to an external or internal need. Manager is an advanced technologist enabling strong coding practices and solid design decisions. Builds meaningful relationships with relevant stakeholders and effectively partners to remove organizational obstacles and guide cross-team strategic efforts. Acts as agile/product champion by enabling product teams and partnering with other leaders to drive empowerment, autonomy, engineering momentum, and business value. Fosters a culture of empowerment, engineering excellence, and growth.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- 10 or more years of relevant software engineering experience
- Six or more years of experience leading multiple software engineering teams
Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Proven experience delivering software and engineering platforms within a large Financial Services organization.
  • Experience leading highly technical engineering organizations and influencing senior executive stakeholders.
  • Strong architectural acumen with the ability to connect disparate technologies into a cohesive engineering ecosystem.
  • Proven track record balancing hands-on technical leadership with executive-level strategy and execution.
  • Expertise in the role of Artificial Intelligence in Platform Engineering from idea, to design, to full scale production
  • Demonstrated experience driving large-scale transformation and organizational change initiatives.

Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00
