Job description

Who We Are
Addepar is a global data and AI platform empowering investment professionals to turn complex financial information into actionable intelligence. Addepar unifies portfolio, market and client data in a total portfolio view and delivers AI-powered insights within investment and client workflows. More than 1,400 firms in nearly 60 countries use Addepar to manage and advise on nearly $9 trillion in assets. Its open platform integrates with nearly 650 software, data and consulting partners to power end-to-end investment operations across firms of all sizes and complexity. Addepar supports clients worldwide with offices in New York City, Salt Lake City, London, Edinburgh, Pune, Dubai, Geneva, Singapore and São Paulo.
The Role
Addepar is investing in our Workflow Platform - the architectural backbone that enables teams to build, orchestrate, and deploy critical financial workflows at global scale. This is a true force-multiplier product, integrating Addepar's massive financial datasets, our rich product suite, multiple third-party vendors, and our native AI solution, Addison.
As we move through 2026, you will lead the evolution of this platform from a nascent system to a fully-fledged self-service model delivering workflows at scale to our largest customers. You will transform manual, labor-intensive financial processes into automated, agentic, tech-enabled workflows that serve the world's most sophisticated investors.
Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York. The current range for this role is $160,000 - $250,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.
Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additionally, these ranges reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring current or future visa sponsorship (for example, employment-based visas such as H-1B, F-1/OPT, or similar), and must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on their first day of employment.
What You'll Do
  • Direct Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of senior engineers. You are a culture-builder focused on accountability, growth, empowerment, and technical excellence, who leads by example.
  • "Lead from the Trenches": Maintain technical high-ground by staying active in the codebase - writing production code, conducting deep architectural reviews, and helping with the design of scalable integration points. You'll strike the balance between people management responsibilities and your own individual contributions, especially in the early stages of the role.
  • Execution & Delivery: Partner with global Product Managers to translate ambitious business goals into predictable, actionable technical roadmaps. You will drive project momentum by navigating technical hurdles and providing the hands-on support necessary to translate high-level product vision into functional reality.
  • Scale the Platform: Drive the transition to a self-service model and help to oversee geographic expansion, ensuring our infrastructure remains performant across new global regions.
  • Evangelism: Serve as one of the champions for our platform, fostering a vibrant developer community and driving adoption through insightful technical content, internal public speaking, and hands-on partnership.
  • AI Integration: Work at the intersection of workflow orchestration and Agentic AI, helping to aid in the execution of complex, natural-language-driven tasks within a workflow-oriented context.
  • Mentorship: Actively coach engineers through the nuances of a sophisticated financial domain, helping them navigate their career path and develop as engineers.
Who You Are
  • Experienced Leader: 6+ years in platform development, with at least 2+ years of formal people management or proven team leadership.
  • Technical Practitioner: Highly proficient in Python and Java. You are comfortable diving deep to solve technical hurdles alongside your team.
  • Systems Architect: Practical experience building robust, service-oriented architectures in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
  • Workflow Experience: Familiarity with Temporal, n8n, Pipedream, or equivalent stateful orchestration systems is a significant plus. You understand the challenges of long-running, distributed workflows at scale.
  • Agile + AI Advocate: You prioritize iterative development and experimentation, using data-driven insights to optimize team velocity. You proactively explore and implement AI technologies to streamline the SDLC, transforming traditional ceremonies into high-output, automated engines for rapid value delivery.
  • Bridge Builder: Exceptional at translating deep technical constraints into clear business outcomes for stakeholders across different domains.

Our Values
  • Act Like an Owner - Think and operate with intention, purpose and care. Own outcomes.
  • Build Together - Collaborate to unlock the best solutions. Deliver lasting value.
  • Champion Our Clients - Exceed client expectations. Our clients' success is our success.
  • Drive Innovation - Be bold and unconstrained in problem solving. Transform the industry.
  • Embrace Learning - Engage our community to broaden our perspective. Bring a growth mindset.

In addition to our core values, Addepar is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We seek to bring together diverse ideas, experiences, skill sets, perspectives, backgrounds and identities to drive innovative solutions. We commit to promoting a welcoming environment where inclusion and belonging are held as a shared responsibility.
We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Please contact us to request accommodation.

The imposters are creating misleading email accounts, conducting remote "interviews," and making fake job offers in order to collect personal and financial information from unsuspecting individuals. Please be aware that no job offers will be made from Addepar without a formal interview process. Additionally, Addepar will not ask you to purchase equipment or supplies as part of your onboarding process. If you have any questions, please reach out to ta-operations@addepar.com.
