In the role of Sr. Software Engineer - Salesforce working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Information Technology team reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering.  This role is a great opportunity for a very experienced technologist. This person is responsible for guiding technology work by collaborating closely with commercial leaders, product managers, and solution architects to understand technical needs and conceive effective solutions within Salesforce and across the technology stack at MCBC.  The role regularly works with solution and enterprise architecture to review and set design standards; they also develop other software engineers within the team. Success in this role is to be the person that is sought out for their ability to solve business problems with technology in practical yet creative way. 

What You'll be Brewing: 

  • Work closely with product owners and teams to understand their problems and business processes and use design thinking to creatively conceive end-to end solutions that deliver business value and enable development by the delivery team      
  • Either directly or working with developers, configure Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications (e.g., Salesforce) to meet the specific needs of sales and marketing teams. Ensure solutions are minimally customized, use standard approaches, and are optimized for performance and usability                     
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of requirements to understand desired functionality, then guide engineers in decomposing solutions and identifying dependencies to ensure end-products meet standards and requirements  
  • Use full-stack programming skills, knowledge, and experience to troubleshoot and remediate complex issues, including software performance and optimization 
  • Escalate issues and risks in a timely manner to keep leadership and stakeholders informed 
  • Guide, coach, and review the work of other engineers on the delivery team, applying technical expertise to support successful solution delivery, reinforcing best practices throughout the SDLC (plan, design, build, test, deploy, and maintain). 
  • Manage projects and processes for a single delivery team, navigating high complexity problems and solutions across multiple domains 
  • Influence team members through technical leadership and share learnings with the broader organization 
  • Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in SaaS applications, configurations, and software engineering for the sales and marketing arena 

Key Ingredients: 

  • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering OR equivalent experience  
  • You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering or related discipline; experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry a plus 
  • You have Salesforce experience 
  • You have experience building end-to-end solutions across commercial platforms including CRM, pricing and promotional management, direct-to-consumer marketing, e-commerce, and content management and syndication.                                        
  • You can apply methods such as design thinking to understand business problems and create simple/elegant solutions, minimizing complexity and customization       
  • You have a proven track record of working with DevOps practices and tools       
  • You have expert proficiency in three or more programming languages and associated development tools, with the ability to rapidly learn additional languages and tooling.  
  • You take accountability for engineering outcomes, acting with integrity and honoring commitments. 
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues       
  • You are proactive and curious, with a drive to understand systems and how they elegantly support business processes. 
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with comfort speaking to and challenging stakeholders at the Director and Sr. Director level 
  • You can collaborate with team members and stakeholders - both technical and non-technical                                                                                                                                 
  • You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities

Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $109,100.00 - $143,200.00 (posting salary range) + 15target short term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).


The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
