Overview

Job Title: Software Engineering Manager

Employer: PepsiCo, Inc.

Location: 7701 Legacy Drive, Plano, Texas 75024

Responsibilities
  • Lead Complex Software Programs alongside a dedicated team.
  • Provide technical solutions to drive the software architecture for the team.
  • Collaborate with Product Owner to define product and market specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Master to facilitate executions of the team deliverables.
  • Conduct Proof of concept to establish the efficacy of new business proposals.
  • Responsible for ensuring new product enhancements meet the quality standards before they are rolled out to the end customers.
  • Provide timely resolution for customer issues.
  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and reliable infrastructure and systems to support business-critical applications.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and incident response processes to improve system performance and reduce operational overhead.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance system reliability, troubleshoot production issues, and drive root cause analysis.

*Telecommuting permitted 40%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the PepsiCo office in Plano, TX

Qualifications
  • Position requires a Bachelor's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and eight (8) years of experience in job offered or related role.
  • Must have eight (8) years of experience in Software Development- Front End and Back End Technologies; and Front End Technologies – Native iOS and Android Development, React Native (Hybrid), React, JS, HTML, CSS.
  • Must have six (6) years of experience in Back End Technologies & Databases – Java, MSSQL, MySQL, SQLite.
  • Must have four (4) years of experience in Software Architecture; People Management; and Cloud Platforms – Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.

Salary: $156,998 - $183,000/ year
