Job description

Aegis Power Systems, Inc. | US – Remote | Full-Time

Aegis Power Systems, Inc. designs and manufactures mission-critical power conversion solutions for defense, aerospace, industrial, and high-reliability applications. When failure isn't an option, our customers count on Aegis — and our customers count on our sales engineering team to get it right from the first conversation.

We're looking for a Sales Engineering Manager to lead that team. Reporting directly to the President, you'll manage a remote team, while owning sales strategy, forecasting, and hands-on technical selling across our custom and standard power electronics portfolio. This is a player-coach role: you'll develop your team, shape product and R&D direction, and translate complex customer requirements into winning AC-DC and DC-DC power solutions.

If you thrive in consultative, technically demanding sales environments, engaging engineers, buyers, program managers, and defense stakeholders, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Do

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a remote team of 4 sales engineering professionals
  • Set clear goals, monitor performance, and foster accountability and collaboration across a distributed team
  • Build a consultative, customer-first sales culture grounded in technical excellence

Sales Strategy & Growth

  • Identify sales opportunities and contribute to overall strategic sales objectives
  • Recommend R&D investments to keep products competitive; monitor the competitive landscape
  • Prepare quarterly sales forecasts and reports using viable metrics and analysis
  • Continually develop and implement sales process improvements
  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets while supporting bookings stability and customer diversification

Technical Solution Development

  • Partner with customers and engineering to define integrated AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion solutions
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of the Aegis product catalog
  • Develop BOMs for custom solutions, including research parts
  • Explain technical concepts clearly to engineering, procurement, and program management audiences

Customer Engagement & Sales Execution

  • Prepare proposals, spec sheets, presentations, and technical reports
  • Write and submit quotations for standard and custom products
  • Meet with clients in person, by phone, and via video conference
  • Represent Aegis at annual domestic trade shows
  • Follow up on active leads within one business day

Sales Operations

  • Maintain customer data in CRM software and product data in quoting software

What You'll Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing or sales
  • 5+ years of Military Electronic Systems sales experience
  • Experience leading or managing sales, applications, or sales engineering teams (remote team leadership a plus)
  • Technical understanding of power conversion (AC-DC and DC-DC) and power electronics parameters
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills
  • Proficiency with CRM software for lead tracking, quoting, and reporting
  • Ability to travel domestically for customer visits and trade shows

Preferred:

  • Experience selling to defense contractors or directly to the U.S. Department of Defense
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-704

Who Succeeds Here

You're a strong communicator and a natural coach. You're technically confident discussing power supply requirements, strategic and analytical in how you approach the business, and energized by helping both customers and your team solve complex challenges.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary + Incentive Plan
  • Health and voluntary benefit solutions
  • HSA & FSA options
  • Life Insurance
  • Paid Time Off / Holiday Pay
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • SEP Retirement Plan
  • Professional Development Assistance
  • Mobile phone / Internet allowance
