Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Software Engineer with expertise in LabView ,Visual Basic, understanding of SQL databases and a strong understanding of electronics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Acton, MA location on a Onsite work schedule.

YOU MUST HAVE


BS Computer Science, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
5 years' relevant software experience
Familiarity with National Instruments equipment, LabView, Visual Basic, and SQL databases
Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and debugging techniques.
Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on electronics.
Knowledge of network protocols, system integration, and real-time operating systems relevant to building automation.
Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes and systems using Visual Basic and SQL databases.
  • Design and implement data acquisition and control systems using LabVIEW.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize electronic components and systems.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot manufacturing issues to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations
  • Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, and control panels
  • Create and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts
  • Select and specify electrical components (sensors, PLCs, drives, HMIs, etc.)
  • Support system installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting in production environment.
  • Perform root cause analysis on electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
