Job Description

Contract Type: 6-month fixed‑term engagement

Location: NYC (Hybrid – at least 2 days onsite/week)

We are seeking a Front‑End UI Developer to join a team building a strategic Application Monitoring Platform. The platform will provide real‑time visibility into application health, server performance, process status, and system resources through an intuitive web‑based dashboard used by development and production support teams.

This role is focused on designing and developing a modern, responsive user interface that enables engineers and support teams to efficiently monitor critical applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop responsive web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Build intuitive dashboards displaying application health, server metrics, process status, and monitoring data.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and real‑time monitoring services.
  • Create reusable UI components and maintain high‑quality front‑end architecture.
  • Optimize application performance and user experience.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, application support, and software engineering teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or Quantitative Finance.
  • 5+ years of professional Front‑End development experience.
  • Strong expertise in React.
  • Strong proficiency with TypeScript.
  • Experience building enterprise web applications.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs.
  • Experience using Git and Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
Nice to Have
  • Experience building monitoring, observability, or operational dashboards.
  • Knowledge of application monitoring tools.
  • Exposure to Linux environments.
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments.
  • Financial services experience is a plus.
