Responsibilitiesย 

  • Manage and lead your reports and resources toย execute onย the CARET engineering vision. This includes recruiting, mentoring, and the development of individuals on your team.ย ย 

  • Manage onshore and offshore technology staff.ย 

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance for software development teams onshore and offshore in architecting, designing, building, documenting, and testing softwareย and dataย solutions for CARETย dataย &ย analyticsย platform and product offerings.ย 

  • Collaborate extensively with our Product team to ensure a unified vision and continued improvements to the platform and multiple products.ย ย 

  • Manage, negotiate, and develop third-party vendor relationships alongside the Software Engineering management team, as they relate to tools, outsourcing, and consulting.ย ย 

  • Own, manage and execute the Data and Analytics technology roadmapย consistedย of the data and analytics strategy, as well as the technical implementation of scalable data and analytics platform and product rollouts.ย ย 

  • Assistย in the creation of product roadmaps as well as sprint and release planning byย participatingย and leading team grooming sessions and helping teams provide work effort estimations.ย 

  • Demonstrate strong coding and data modeling skills, ability to lead and contribute to the teamsโ€™ย efforts while following established software engineering practices including ability to contribute and conduct code reviews, contribute high-quality documentation, hands-on assistance in the development of robust scalable applications, as well as act as role model for their team.ย 

  • Adhere to the agile software development lifeย cycleย best practices and governance.ย 

  • Adhere to the software developmentย andย dataย architectureย best practices and governance.ย 

  • Effectively deliver product fixes and service packs asย required; coordinate efficient and repeatable fix delivery cycles.ย 

  • Partner with the CISO organization to adhere to corporate data security standards for platform and application development.ย ย 

  • Own and drive KPIโ€™s critical to software and data quality which primarily includes increasing engineering confidence and release frequency to new levels.ย 

Required Skills/Abilities:ย 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:ย 

  • BS/MS Engineeringย degree, orย equivalent.ย 

  • Highly skilled with hands-on experience and domainย expertiseย in both data and analytics technologies as well as cloud-native data architecture design and best practicesย 

  • At least 10 years of experience in a technology-based position, with at least 7ย yearsย people management experience leading increasingly complex and challenging projects that have led to the delivery of technology solutions into business organizations.ย 

  • 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, andย maintainingย the data architecture, dataย modelsย and standards for various Data Integration & Data Warehousing projects.ย 

  • 7+ years of experience programming in web, object-oriented or functional programming environmentsย 

  • Solid understanding of enterprise and cloud-native business intelligence architecture.ย 

  • Experience working with git and knowledge of strategies and branching patterns for team collaboration.ย 

  • A broad range of skills and experience ranging from data architecture to ETL, security, performance analysis, analytics, etc.ย ย 

  • Design, coding, and unit testing of softwareย 

  • Haveย worked as an integral member of the development team collaborating with product, engineering, and other business groups by designing and developing highly scalable data-driven SaaS applications.ย 

  • Hands-on experience either with Microsoft Azure or AWS.ย 

  • Hands-on experience building dataย and analyticsย productsย withย Microsoftย Fabric or Snowflake for data visualization and reporting tools such asย PowerBIย using real time or near time synchronization.ย ย 

  • Experience with release/deployment processes.ย 

  • Possessingย any ofย the following certifications is a plus:ย 

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associateย 

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associateย 

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expertย 

  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI)ย
