Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technology Management, Project Management, or a related field and 8 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineering-related occupation.
  • Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technology Management, Project Management, or a related field, and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineering-related occupation.
  • Position requires 6 years of experience in the following:
    • Translating organizational objectives into team goals to align resources with company-wide strategy or Design and evolve organizational structures aligned with business goals using workforce planning
    • Providing guidance and actionable feedback to enable team member development and performance improvement or Lead work and develop people to grow team capabilities and build community
    • Designing, writing, testing, and maintaining large scale, data intensive Cloud platforms and services using C , Java, Go, Python
    • Optimizing system testability, performance, reliability, and cost using systems architecture configurations or Analyze technical or organizational problems at the system level to determine component interrelations
    • Engage and influence executives to achieve business growth and product goals utilizing methodologies in business case development, data-driven proposals, stakeholder analysis and management, executive briefing, full cost analysis, and risk assessment and mitigation

Responsibilities
  • Set and communicate team priorities that align with organizational goals while managing individual performance through regular feedback and coaching.
  • Develop mid-term technical visions and roadmaps that anticipate future infrastructure needs and drive engineering excellence.
  • Design, guide, and vet system architectures to ensure coherent integration, scalability, and the creation of hermetic abstractions.
  • Manage engineering projects across multiple teams by engaging stakeholders, monitoring metrics, and ensuring timely delivery within scope.
  • Write and review code to solve ambiguous problems while enforcing best practices in testing, security, and efficiency. Implement standards for code health and system maintainability, including the automation of processes and resolution of production issues.
