We are looking to add software engineers to our development teams for a wide array of products including Battle Management, Command & Control, Communications, Effectors, and Surveillance and Warning systems. • Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications


• Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems


• Work collaboratively with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement and test system

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Mathematics or a related (STEM) discipline


• Minimum of five (5) or more years of relevant experience in software development, integration, and/or test using C++, Java, C# or similar object-oriented software language


• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date


• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

• Highly desired experience Leading teams


• Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems


• Experience working in Agile environment such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe, Test-Driven Development, DevSecOps


• Strong problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills


• Desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements


• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), configuration management tools (e.g., Azure, Jira, Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory), and data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python).


• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded applications.


• Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems


• Knowledge of Windows development


• Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

• Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance
