Who You Are

You are an Jr. Software Engineer who will perform all activities associated with the design, development, implementation, maintenance, configuration management and quality control of software for scientific/engineering applications.

What You'll Do

As a JR Software Engineer, you will:

  • Create prototypes and perform internal testing of software products
  • Respond to software discrepancies against documented requirements and provide resolution
  • Determine software maintainability and overall adherence to user requirements
  • Generate program design language and code based on mission standards
  • Generate/update project documents
  • Analyze and evaluate systems, devising computer specifications for scientific/engineering applications
  • Encode, test, debug, and install operating programs and procedures
  • Collaborate with engineers in the design, development, and utilization of scientific/engineering electronic data processing systems software
  • Provide analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software for products such as utility software, development software, and diagnostic software
  • Participates in the development of engineering test strategies, devices and systems
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to successfully obtain a CI Polygraph
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 0-3 years of related experience, or AA in related field and 3 years of related experience; in lieu of formal education, 10 years of related experience; specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.

$94,300.00-$115,200.00

This range is for the San Antonio, TX area only.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's work location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, clearance level, contract affordability and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
