Collins Aerospace Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) Networks and Messaging Services support over 1,500 aviation customers transmitting over 75 million messages per day across the Aviation community. We are currently seeking an Implementation Lead with a passion for aviation to join the Messaging Implementation Engineering Team.

The candidate will work directly with Engineering Manager, Program Management, Customers and Technical Engineering leads across multiple disciplines and supporting groups. The candidate will support our Messaging team with implementing / modifying / configuring / testing / documenting airline middleware messaging connections and routing between Collins Aerospace - CAS airline message services and customer end systems.

What You Will Do

  • Configure software applications and services using Java/JavaScript.

  • Manage multiple global customers facing implementation and migration projects/tasks.

  • Partner with the operations team to troubleshoot customer issues and provide written responses to questions.

  • Provide technical advice to internal sales, product and service delivery teams.

  • Work directly with our internal and external customers for troubleshooting and service support.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to efficiently manage workloads of varying complexity.

  • Apply analytical and problemsolving skills to effectively assess issues and identify solutions.

  • Participate in oncall rotation duties to provide afterhours support as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • Experience with messaging systems / protocols / messaging formats such as Type B and ICAO messaging formats.

  • Project management skills and experience.

  • Experience with Commercial Airline / Global Distribution Service operational messaging.

  • Experience interacting with internal and external customers.

  • Demonstrated experience managing deadlines and troubleshooting issues in a positive and engaging manner.

  • Expreience working independently and in an international, cross-functional team environment.

  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving system and connectivity issues.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with IBM WebSphere MQ (MQSeries) middleware messaging and queuing.

  • PMP or equivalent certification.

  • High-level understanding and knowledge of core networking, subnetting, firewalls, VPN, AWS connect.

  • Network and/or routing configuration experience.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
